By the time we get to know about Bou Savy GH from a friend who stayed there in 2008, we had already paid for our Siem Reap accommodation.
As we are looking for an English speaking tuk tuk driver for our 3days stay we decided to try their service. We glad we did that. I am thankful that Bou Savy allow us to do that though we did not stay at their guesthouse
Our tuk tuk driver ~ Raksa is polite, have sense of good humour and is always very punctual. He is caring and took initiative to buy a box of mineral waters for our trip to Angkor without our asking him to, ensuring that we will be fully hydrated for our climbs to all the beautiful monuments around Angkor.
He goes beyond his duty to assist us to purchase our bus tickets on Mekong Express though we are not staying at Bou Savy.
We had our dinner at Bou Savy and I must say their food taste great! Special mentioned is the Lok Lak, we fell in love with it that we came back for more the next day for our breakfast.
Lok Lak in Phnom Penh wasn't as good as the one we had in Bou Savy.
I will definately recommend all my friends to stay in Bou Savy for their trip to Siem Reap!!

Prior to my friend, Jun's email, my special thanks goes to Raksa, our tuk tuk driver during our vacation in Siem Reap. Raksa is shy yet a sensible guy. His recommendations are always satisfying. Highly recommended to all travellers. Go Raksa!!!! |

Bou Savy rules. It's like a little comfortable oasis behind their walls. The hosts are super helpful, friendly, and genuinely devoted to good service. We stayed over New Years, and there was a celebration with tons of homemade food and the family invited all the guests to celebrate with them. I was really impressed with their service, and I'd recommend their guesthouse for anyone visiting Siem Reap. :) |

A homely atmosphere and warm hosts. So homely and typical Asian down to the taking off of shoes to enter the guest house. Here is where I like to advise non-Asians to have the courtesy to when in Rome do as the Romans do - remove your footwear before entering the Guest House. The Host might be too polite to tell you to do so but don't be rude, arrogant and ignorant! Those who follow the custom and remove our shoes should not be subjected to letting our bare soles to step on the dirt you brought in. Don't leave your manners in your homeland when you come to Cambodia or Asia!! |
